Casa Montaña Roja is located in Faro Park, Playa Blanca at the South West tip of Lanzarote, at the Punta Pechiguera.  The villa sits in a delightful residential development at the foot of Montaña Roja, after which the villa is named.  Faro Park is a new development in what promises to become the St Tropez of the Canary Islands.  Since it is a residential area, it enjoys a tranquillity not found in tourist areas.

The construction of the villa was completed late 2003 and is to a very high standard.  The villa comprises a spacious hallway; two King Size bedrooms; one twin bedroom; two full bathrooms; kitchen; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer; stylishly furnished lounge with leather sofas and flat screen TV; large dining room which may be opened to the Southerly aspect for Al Fresco dining (see lower photographs where French doors are now fitted), huge sun terrace and gardens with the added benefit of a private, electrically heated swimming pool.  Upstairs is the master bedroom with dressing room, en-suite bathroom and private sun terrace.

As the villa is primarily for the use of the owners, it is furnished to a much higher standard than you would expect from a holiday rental property, even in this prestigious area.

The perimeter wall and railings were added at the beginning of 2006.  They provide greatly enhanced privacy around the pool and terrace areas.

The electrically heated pool is clearly a major advantage of Casa Montaña Roja.  The pool measures 8 metres by 4 metres and is 1.8 metres deep in the centre.  Access to the pool is via Roman steps with a stainless steel handrail.  There is also a solar cover over the pool which should be in place at all times when the pool is not in use and especially at night.  Plastic glasses are provided for use around the pool.  The pool is serviced every week including cleaning and maintenance of the correct chemical balance.  The chemical balance of the water is analysed at a professional, international standard laboratory every month to ensure the water is always in tip top condition.

There are six sunbeds provided for use on the terrace around the pool (there are a further two sunbeds on the upstairs sun terrace in the master bedroom suite).  All sunbeds have quality cushions.

Casa Montaña Roja enjoys the largest plot on the development so there is plenty of room to enjoy the pool terrace in complete privacy.  To the left of the photograph above, there is the rest of our garden, with a 1.5m wall at its boundary and beyond that is a large strip of green belt separating the villa from the neighbouring development which is well over 100 meters away.
